Riding the Subway to Work

Every morning, thousands of people ride the subway.

It takes them quickly to work across the city.

You walk down steps into the station below.

A ticket or card lets you through the gate.

The platform fills with people waiting for the train.

A bright train rushes in with a loud sound.

Doors open, and everyone steps on together.

The train speeds through dark tunnels underground.

Riders read books or look at their phones.

At each stop, some people get off the train.

Soon you reach your stop near work.
