Every year, many people get hurt near streets.
You can stay safe with a few simple rules.
Always use a crosswalk.
A crosswalk is a safe place to walk.
Look left, then look right before you step out.
Wait for all cars to stop.
The green light says it is safe to go.
The red light says stop and wait.
Never run across the street.
Hold an [adult's] hand if you are young.
Walk slowly and carefully when you cross.
