Traffic During Rush Hour

Every day, cars fill the roads at the same time.

This busy time is called rush hour.

Workers rush to their jobs early in the morning.

Roads fill up fast with cars and trucks.

Drivers wait as traffic crawls along slowly.

Horns honk when cars [cannot] move at all.

Buses squeeze between long lines of cars.

Some drivers get stuck for over an hour.

Radios play traffic news during the long wait.

Patience becomes very important during rush hour.

Rush hour ends once most people reach work.

Then the roads slowly grow quiet again.
