Some cities are famous for never sleeping.
Life goes on there both day and night.
Restaurants stay open long after midnight.
Night workers keep hospitals and stores running.
Taxis drive through the streets all night long.
Bakers bake fresh bread before the sun rises.
Cleaners tidy streets while most people are asleep.
Musicians play in clubs until very late.
Delivery trucks bring food to stores overnight.
Someone is always awake somewhere in the city.
That is why cities never truly sleep.
There is always life happening somewhere nearby.
