Endangered

Many of the species of endangered fish in Halong Bay are being threatened by the game fishing that occurs near the coral reefs.

The bald eagle was endangered in 1967 and there were less than 500 eagles left.

Fifty years later in 2007, it was removed from the endangered list but is still protected.

While peacocks are not considered an endangered species at the moment, the Congo peafowl in particular has been listed as vulnerable.
